Hats are the unspoken heroes of women fashion. They have the power to completely transform the mood of an outfit. Hats also add so much character and confidence to the person wearing it. Do you have trouble knowing which hats look best on you? Are you lost in knowing which hats pair well with which styles? You are in the right spot! LET’s experience this, together, shall we?
Hats off to Loudoun’s #1 Milliner, Elena Wittman

Back in December 2020, the incredibly talented milliner, Elena Wittman of Art of Hats, reached out to me on social media. She was inspired to share that one of my blog posts reminded her of a hat she made years ago. Elena was referring to my Dunbri’s Purebarry dessert post I wrote, which entailed a dreamy, cotton candy ice cream treat bigger than your face. This confectionary dessert reminded her so much of macaron-inspired hat she made, only in reverse colors. We messaged a lot that night, sharing our love for both, unique food and fantastic hats. Elena explained how much work, love, and time goes into crafting each head piece. I was blown away by her millinery background and overall passion for hats. Naturally, the conversation led to meeting in person and having tea at a little pink bakery in downtown Leesburg called Mocatinas. Elena offered to bring a few hats so we could take some pictures in the cute shop! I literally felt like a kid in a candy shop! We giggled, drank tea, ate cake, and connected on such a deep level. I felt like I had known her for years.
